Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. She and LeAnnekymes were among the newest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass country singer and musician. As a teenager, she began her journey into the music world winning local competitions at the age of 10 old, and recorded her debut album at fourteen years of age. She signed with Rounder Records in 1985 and released her first single album, a solo one in the year 1987. The band invited her to join the group with which she still performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album as a group in the year 1989.
