Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She came to California when she was five. She grew up primarily within Orange County. She earned her degree from the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015, which was the same year she got her breakthrough in acting. Pernas had small roles in NCIS as well as Leverage. She then landed the part of Marisa in The Young and the Restless. The actress, who left this soap at the end of 2016 got the part of Catalina who is a regular character on Jane the Virgin. On Blood & Treasure, from the year 2019 to 2020 she played Lexi Vaziri. Us Weekly confirmed that Pernas and Justin Hartley were dating in May, in 2020. The romance came following The This Is Us star split with her wife Chrishell Stause November of this year. Pernas Hartley and Pernas Hartley were married secretly in May of 2021.
