Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 the 28th of October, 1967. Roberts is part of the Robertses' fourth generation to reside in the Atlanta area beginning in the family of her grand-father John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Early in his life his father became obsessed by the acting. When he was an undergraduate at Emory University, he performed in a variety of productions in Atlanta. Following his air force service, in 1953 he appeared in an air force production in Biloxi with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in the year 1955 and their first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter as well as his spouse were discharged from their Air Force service in 1957 after which they began enrolment with Walter at Tulane University. Walter started working at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning show on local television for kids named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project that they funded themselves. They also founded the six-year Actors and Writers Workshop later in the year. Lelisa Billingsley, also known as Lisa was born in the year 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
