Julia Fiona Roberts, born on October 28, 1967, on the 28th of October, 1967 in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Julia Fiona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts who reside in Atlanta. Early on, her father began to take an interest in theater. When he was a student at Emory University he appeared in numerous productions in and outside of the campus. While stationed at Biloxi Mississippi, he was inducted into the Air Force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was part of the show as well. They got married in the year 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter as well as his spouse left their Air Force service in 1957 after which they began enrolment with Walter as a student at Tulane University. In 1960, the family relocated into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working at Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of the local Sunday morning children's show, Bum Bum and His Buddies. The Actors and Writers Workshop was founded in 1964 and ran for 6 years. The couple also had two children. Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also named Lisa) and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also known by the name Julie).
